INTRODUCTION
Hello, Hyde here. I'm a UI designer and hobbyist digital artist, I also write here and there but in my opinion I'm not that great at it.
I made this Neocities site to experiment with coding and CSS UI designing, though honestly the main reason is that I wanted a completely personalized OC archive without any restrictions.

I go by the name Hyde Galanthus.
"Hyde" is a reference to the book Jekyll and Hyde, one of my favourite books and undoubtedly a classic. The reason I chose to go by Hyde, while he is the evil counterpart of doctor Jekyll, as someone with diagnosed bipolar disorder his character deeply resonates with the darkness of my lows. Cruel, evil, manic but at the same time this darkness is a survival instinct, it is my own mind processing shock and trauma by creating an alter that bears the blunt of these lows. Following that the last name Galanthus, taken after snowdrop flowers. These flowers hold the meaning of renewal, rebirth and comfort. Galanthus calls for the idea of consolation, the calm after the mania. It implies that behind the grasp of Hyde lies the purity and gentleness of Jekyll.
My persona/mascot's species in Starshaper's and Heaven Co.'s universe is an angel who works under Cupid's love department.

Did you make everything with code?
About 90% of what you see was made with CSS and js, for some specific elements (i.e The foreground of the main menu) I needed to animate the images in Live 2D then insert it.
Do you do commissions?
I do neither website commissions or art commissions as of now, I do this all for fun.
